Insurance

At this time, Women’s Psychiatry and Well-Being does not accept any forms of insurance and is thus considered an “out of network” provider. If requested, we will provide to you a receipt that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement, depending on your mental health benefits for “out-of-network provider”. Please contact your insurance company for questions about whether or not you are eligible for out of network reimbursement. Women’s Psychiatry and Well-Being does not guarantee that your insurance will reimburse or how much.

Fees vary depending on complexity and duration of the service.

Payment

Payment is due at the time of service (i.e. at each visit). We accept cash, checks, credit and debit cards as forms of payment. There will be a 3% charge if you chose to pay with credit card or debit card. This is due to the additional cost for card payment processing. You will need to have a credit/debit card on file before your first appointment time and before any of the subsequent appointments. Unless who chose to pay the visit with cash or check, we will automatically charge your credit card on file after your session.

What we do NOT provide 

  • stimulant medications  (e.g. Adderal, Ritalin)
  • buprenorphine for opiate use disorders
  • treatment for active anorexia nervosa
  • treatment for active substance use disorder
  • conditions needing level of care higher than outpatient (typically this category includes but is not limited to recent discharge from psychiatric inpatient hospitalization)
  • letters for emotional support or psychiatric service animals

Cancellation, rescheduling, missing appointment

If you wish to cancel or reschedule your appointment we ask you to do so within 48 business hours by either calling the clinic at 512 818 9892 or using the patient portal.

  • If you chose to cancel with less than 24 business hours’ notice you will be charged a fee equivalent to the full amount of the normal visit rate.
  • If you chose to cancel with less than 48 business hours’ notice you will be charged a fee equivalent to half (i.e. 50%) of the normal visit rate.

Missed appointments will be charged for the fee equivalent to the full amount of the normal visit rate. Not coming to a scheduled appointment or arriving more than 15 minutes late qualifies for “missed appointment and you will need to reschedule.

If you arrive less than 15 minutes late to your scheduled appointment you will have available the remaining time of your scheduled visit, unless the clinic schedule has available time, and you will be charged a fee equivalent to the full amount of the normal visit rate.

On a case by case basis, exceptions are possible at the practice’s discretion.

Established Patients are expected to communicate to the office using either of the following methods:

Crisis or Emergency

Please note, Women’s Psychiatry and Well-Being does NOT offer psychiatric crisis or emergency services, thus please do not use the patient portal or the clinic phone line to communicate in these cases given the expected delay of 24 hours business hours for the response. If you or someone close to you is experiencing a medical or psychiatric emergency, please call 9-1-1 or proceed to the nearest emergency room.
